I'm basically a systems administrator - do everything from websites, databases, networking, helpdesk, server & virtualisation admin, mobile technology etc. You name it, I do it! Local government has been hit hard with staff reductions, reduced budgets and increased workload, leading to a challenging environment. I believe open source is a necessary direction to take to overcome some iof these challenges.
